JAZZ PIANIST RIN HEITETSU

4歳よりピアノを始める。15歳まで東京音楽大学教室にてクラッシックピアノ・音楽理論を学び1988年毎日新聞社主催学生音楽コンクールにて奨励賞受賞。立教大学文学部入学後ジャズに興味を持ち始め、ユキ・アリマサ氏よりジャズピアノを学ぶ。2001年アメリカへ渡りバークリー音楽大学ジャズコンポジション科を専攻。ジャズピアノ、作曲、アレンジ、音楽理論を学ぶ。現在に至るまでの音楽活動は多岐にわたる。​

演奏実績/全国、都内のジャズライブハウス演奏、BLUE NOTE上海・北京、人形劇チェコ国際大会にてパフォーマンスグループ「シアタートライアングル」グランプリ受賞時ピアノ演奏、メディア出演(NHK-FM J-Wave他)

​Heitetsu Rin started playing the piano at the age of 4. He studied classical piano and music theory at the Tokyo College of Music until he was 15, and won an Encouragement Award at the 1988 Mainichi Shimbun Student Music Competition. After entering the Faculty of Letters at Rikkyo University, he developed an interest in jazz and studied jazz piano under Yuki Arimasa. In 2001, he moved to the United States and majored in jazz composition at Berklee College of Music, where he studied jazz piano, composition, arranging, and music theory. His musical activities to date have been diverse.

Performances at jazz live houses across Japan and Tokyo, BLUE NOTE Shanghai and Beijing.

Played the piano when the performance group "Theater Triangle" won the Grand Prix at the Czech International Puppetry Competition. Media appearances (NHK-FM J-Wave, etc.).
